This business started as a side gig while owner, John, was finishing his engineering degree. However, it just kept growing and 5 years later he is still as busy as ever. His business is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
John first heard about SmartBench through a friend and when he “heard about the price, it was a no brainer”. He uses SmartBench for everything, for example, “cabinet cuts, custom signage, juice grooves on cutting boards, milling down hardwoods, custom projects, barn door patterns, stage props etc etc.”. When asked how SmartBench has helped his business he said, “It’s helped with production big time. It’s such a time and stress saver and accuracy is never an issue with CNC. The programming and design with VCarve makes it all very easy (speaking to beginners). Lots of YouTube videos for the Yeti and VCarve. I am also starting out of state builds which is why this will come in very handy being portable.”. John’s favourite feature of SmartBench is “how easy it is to use. Setting the datums is super easy and accurate, tool changes are quick, and loading the GCode either from a thumb drive or WiFi is a nice option.”.
When asked to describe SmartBench in three words he said an “absolute game changer”
