MELTIO – Engine Robot

Manufacturer : MELTIO
Sectors : Aerospace, Automotive, Education, Industry, Jewelry

Meltio ENGINE Robot is a sophisticated and powerful device that allows 3D printing of dense metal parts with robot arms thus increasing the maximum print volume. This print volume is thus limited to the size of the robot. Integrating Meltio into such a system is an affordable and efficient solution for printing large metal parts.

The process allows parts to be printed from wire and powder in the same system, using patented multilaser technology. The system is able to automatically use wire, metal powder, or both simultaneously without changing the nozzle.

START 3D PRINTING WITH YOUR ROBOT

Meltio ENGINE BLUE (2nd generation head with blue laser) Robot is a sophisticated and powerful device that enables 3D printing of dense metal parts with robots. The engine enables printing of parts from wire using patented multilaser technology.

UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY

This system can produce complex metal components from wire. The ability to produce parts from wire makes material operation and handling very safe, and ensures total efficiency in material usage.

EXCELLENT RESULTS AND VERSATILITY

The specially designed deposition nozzle facilitates optimized argon injection onto the melt pool, significantly reducing oxidation. MELTIO ENGINE BLUE not only enables 3D printing of dense metal parts, but also provides an all-in-one additive manufacturing solution for part repair, laser cladding, laser welding, laser cutting, laser texturing and polishing.

Excellente USER INTERFACE

MELTIO ENGINE BLUE is equipped with a powerful on-board computer with touchscreen and a feature-rich graphical interface. It comes with state-of-the-art customizable software (Meltio SPACE) to facilitate model slicing and access to process parameters. MELTIO ENGINE BLUE can also be controlled via a tablet or computer, either through a local wireless network or via an Ethernet connection.

AN OPEN MATERIALS PLATFORM

  • Stainless steel: excellent mechanical and corrosion resistance.
  • Mild steel: affordable, easy to machine and weld.
  • Carbon steel: high impact resistance and hardness retained at high temperature.
  • Tool steels
  • Titanium: very good weight/mechanical strength ratio and corrosion resistant.
  • Inconel: versatile, highly resistant to heat and corrosion.
  • Copper
  • Gold alloys
  • Others under validation and development; see: https://meltio3d.com/materials/

ACCESSORIES

  • Filament preheating: programmable wire feed preheating to increase the deposition rate. Only available with the 1st Generation head.
  • Dual filament: allows sequential printing of two filaments during the same print with fast wire switching.
  • External spool storage: allows the machine to be fed with wire from an external source. Larger spools can then be used.

INTEGRATION EXAMPLE

Integrations carried out with ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, Yaskawa and Siemens robots.
