GEFERTEC has reason to celebrate: 3DMP® wins the Best of Industry Award

Gefertec 3DMP

The intensive research and development efforts of the Berlin-based industrial company GEFERTEC are now also rewarded by the professional world: After only four years of company history, 3DMP®, the new industry standard in additive manufacturing, climbs to the peak of the industry on June 27, 2019 when it was awarded with the much-admired Best of Industry Award of the renowned trade magazine MM MaschinenMarkt, even in the  category of Additive Manufacturing. Georg Fischer, co-founder of GEFERTEC and 3DMP® comments: “Of course we are very proud of this award, but more important is its significance for our current and potential customers and partners: The Best of Industry Award confirms 3DMP® as new Industry standard and shows that investing in this innovative technology offers future security.”

Equally important for the business success of GEFERTEC customers are official certificates for the workpieces produced with 3DMP®. Here, too, a milestone has been recorded: the wheelset bearing cover, which has been classified as highly relevant for operations, has been certified by Deutsche Bahn, which results in the effect of the total manufacturing time to be reduced to only two months – a fourth compared to traditional casting processes.

And now the weather report: This hot summer suits the expansion plans of GEFERTEC management well, as more and more international demand needs to be met, from east to west and vice versa. We presented ourselves at CIMT in Beijing, Rapid + TCT in Detroit as well as the International Paris Air Show. But we also want to mention three home runs: The Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D in Erfurt, the 3D Printing Technology Workshop in Dresden and the EMAG Technology Forum 2019 in Salach.

In the third quarter ahead of us, the world will come to Germany. Of course, we will once again be represented at the EMO with our own booth (Hall 9, K03), but also with our new (half) siblings at the EMAG stand (Hall 17, C29). Further appearances are planned for the 1. Cottbus Day of Additive Production on August 8, 2019, the XVI. International Production Engineering Colloquium in Berlin from 12. to 13.9.2019 and the Material Week in Dresden from 18. to 20.9.2019.

And yes, there is one more thing, an important achievement on the innovation front at the end: 3DMP® copes with new titanium build-up rates: In a current, Ti64 project, we achieve an impressive (net) build-up rate of 900 cm³/h, in other words 4Kg/h! If that’s not another reason to celebrate!

*We are looking forward to meeting you at our upcoming events.
